 Part Time Service Coordinator

JOB PURPOSE:        PROFESSIONALY SERVES shelter GUESTS

By overseeing guest entrance into the facility

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:


% of

time

 50% 1.  ENSURES THE SAFETY OF OTHERS

             by

             following safety policies; overseeing guest entrance into the facility during the shift.

 20% 2.  WELCOMES GUESTS

             by

             greeting them; explaining shelter policies; being professional at all times.

15%  3.  maintains quality service

             by

             following policies; identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

  5%  5.  forwards information

             by

             putting telephone calls into voice mail or taking messages for other staff; distributing mail; reading and recording in the daily log; verbally communicating during shift changes; checking e-mail messages before, during and after each shift.


 5%   6.  MAINTAINS TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

             by

             attending educational workshops; reviewing publications; attending bi-weekly staff meetings; attending trainers as discussed with supervisor.

 5%   7. maintaines facility cleanliness

             by

             inspecting premises; picking up trash when it’s seen; identifying problems; reporting problems to supervisor.

100% 8. CONTRIBUTES TO THE SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS OF cHERRY sTREET MISSION MINISTRIES

             by

             attending Church regularly; prayer, worship; the study of God’s Word; treating everyone in a Godly manner.

100% 9. CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT

             by

             accomplishing the results of #1 through #9.


 Requirements:

 

 

  • Be an active member of good standing in a Christian congregation in Northwest Ohio or Southeast Michigan. Have a strong working knowledge and application of scripture.

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in related field or work experience in the field required. You may also have related experience in the field.

 

 

  • Hold a valid Driver’s License with a clear record. You must be insurable through our vehicle insurance company.

 

  • Ability to communicate ideas, thoughts and suggestions in a professional manner at all times. Directs any grievances through the proper channel, involving only those who have a need to know as indicated by the Department Director.

 

  • Maintains a professional stature at all times, and is able to interact with a diverse community.

 

  • Has a continual understanding of the chain of command and the organizational structure of the mission and will uphold the structure.

 

  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality where residents, guests and staff are concerned.

 

  • Able to lift, stoop and bend in accordance with specific job duties.

 

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

 

  • Has a working knowledge of discipleship principles and witnessing.
