Cherry Street Mission Ministries is announcing the launch of a national search to name a new CEO, as Dan Rogers has chosen to make way for a new CEO and expand his ministry beyond Cherry Street Mission Ministries.
During his tenure at Cherry Street, Dan and his team have fundamentally changed the way our area addresses poverty and homelessness in northwest Ohio. The Cherry Street model emphasizes human development over service relief, and has brought together key services and organizations to truly create life transformation. This disruptive systems approach has captured the attention of missions around the nation, and many have expressed interest in this innovative model. Dan feels called to expand his ministry and take this work to a regional and national level to guide other ministries desiring to end poverty.
The board has formed a search committee to identify the next CEO of Cherry Street. Dan Rogers will continue to serve as CEO until a new one is seated. Over the last 14 years as CEO, he has worked diligently to build a highly skilled team at Cherry Street. Under strong staff management and board direction, the Cherry Street team will ensure all services and operations continue as normal throughout this transition.
Dan Rogers, Board Chair Don Smucker and Board Vice Chair Josh Rochon are available for interviews today.
