Troy's Story

Coming to Cherry Street was not a fun time for Troy. He had just had an extraordinarily large kidney stone removed which caused a brain aneurysm. Troy suffered short term memory loss, lost his job, and his housing. He had nowhere to turn.

He came to us in the summer wearing the clothes on his back, (which were shorts). Over the winter, Troy needed all new, warmer clothes — coat, hat, gloves. Through the donations from those who support Cherry Street, Troy was able to get the items he needed.

Troy is a history buff. He especially likes the history he gets while in Bible study. They share ideas and opinions. He is a man that respects the thoughts of others, even if he disagrees with them.
